Wildcats Outlast Firehawks
PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern baseball team jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings, but Bethel clawed their way to slip by the Firehawks 8-6 on Saturday.
GAME THREE
- UTS produced six runs on 11 hits. Lance Pope, Blake Birdsong, Derrick Junker, and Will Clemons each had a pair of hits. Brantley Holden, Blaine Harris, and Michael Wurtz added a hit as well.
- Clemons had the lone extra bagger for UTS.
- Harris had a steal for the Firehawks
- The Firehawks left four on base.
- Tristan Carson got the start. He worked 5.2 innings allowing three unearned runs and striking out eight. Josh Simmons took the loss moving to 0-3 on the year.

UTS will host Johnson University for a twin bill on Wednesday, April 20th. The first pitch is set for 3 pm at Bobby Walker Field.
