Firehawks Split Last Two Games with Lourdes

Firehawks Split Last Two Games with Lourdes

Pulaski, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern baseball team split the final two games of their four-game series with Lourdes on Sunday. Lourdes took game one 19-16, and UTS won game two 9-1.

"Game one was a slug fest, and we fell short late in the game," said Coach Mitch Hill. "We had opportunities to make plays to give us a chance to win, but we did not execute when we had the chance. Our bullpen did not help us at all by missing locations which enabled Lourdes University to hit the ball well also. Game two was all Trey Lacy on the mound, and we jumped LU early with a 2-run home run by Hayden Wright. Our bats stayed hot that game as well. I was pleased with overall effort throughout the weekend."
