Pulaski, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern baseball team opened their season today falling in a pair with St. Ambrose. The Bees held on to take game one 9-7 and jumped out early to take game two 18-4.

  • UTS produced four runs on six hits. Pope had two hits; both were round trippers.
  • Pope led the way with three RBI.
  • Trey Lacy dropped his first decision of the season. He gave up six earned runs on seven hits in two innings of work.

NEXT UP

UTS will conclude the four-game series with St. Ambrose at Bobby Walker field on February 12th. The Firehawks and Bees will do battle at noon with game two to follow.
