Bio

As a RedHawk

- 1969-70: Played tennis at Martin College; 14-2 playing singles and 13-0 playing doubles; Dixie Conference runner up in singles and conference champion in doubles.

- 1970-71: 15-0 playing singles and 14-1 playing doubles; Dixie Conference champion in singles and conference runner up in doubles.

- 1970-71: Played on the basketball team that went 22-5, and won the Dixie Conference Championship; Led the team in assists; Led the National Junior College Athletic Association by shooting 91% from the free-throw line.

After Graduation

- 1973: All- American Tennis Team (NAIA) while at Belmont University; Broke the all- time assist record in basketball, and led the team in free-throw percentage.

- 1975: Men's Tennis Coach at Austin Peay University; Led team to Ohio Valley Conference, and named Coach of the Year;  Team finished 19th in the nation.

- 1977: Won the Tennessee State Open Doubles Championship.

- 1978: Men's Tennis Coach at Belmont University; Team finished first in Volunteer State Athletic Conference.

- 1980: Won the Cystic Fibrosis Tennis Gala.

- 1981-86: Men's Tennis Coach at the University of the South (Sewanee),  and won the College Athletic Conference in 1983 and 1985; CAC Coach of the Year in 1985.

- 1986: Won Tennessee State Open Doubles Championship (35 and over division).

- 1987: Won second straight Tennessee State Open Doubles Championship (35 and over division).

- 1992: Inducted into the Belmont University's Hall of Fame for basketball and tennis.
