Bio

As a RedHawk

1994-1998: First-ever four-sport athlete in program history; Steelman arrived on a Softball scholarship in 1994 and also saw time with the Women's Basketball and Volleyball programs; during her final semester of coursework in 1998, Steelman joined the newly-formed Women's Soccer program; All-Conference softball player; a member of the 1995 National Small College Basketball Association championship team; 1996 and 1998 Gil B. Abernathy Award winner; 1998 Female Athlete of the Year; 1998 Homecoming Queen

After Graduation

1998-1999: Transitioned from student-athlete to head coach of the Softball program; posted 33 wins during her two seasons at the helm and helped laid foundation for program to achieve success during four-year era

Present: Resides in Birmingham, Alabama and is a United States Postal Service worker
