Bio

As a RedHawk

- 1954-56: Co-captained Martin Indians Basketball team; Leading scorer, averaging 17.7 points per game

After Graduation

- 1961-65: Head Coach of Basketball and Baseball at Martin College; Dixie Conference Title (1962,1963,1965)

- 1964-65: Basketball team finished 8th in the nation and earned Coach Earle "Coach of the Year" honors in the Dixie Conference

- 1968: Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Coach of the Year

- 1969: Coach of MTSU Athletics (Alma Mater); Guided MTSU to eight winning seasons, three Ohio Valley Conference Championships (one in baseball and two in basketball)

- 1975-77: Two-time Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Coach of the Year

- 1980: Inducted into the Blue Raider Hall of Fame

- 1981: Named Athletic Director at MTSU

- 1989: Inducted into the Ohio Valley sports Hall of Fame

- 1989-present: Assisted the SEC Basketball Office in developing training programs, rating systems, and observing officials in conference play.

- 1990: Retired from MTSU as the winningest basketball coach in the history of the MTSU atheltics.

- 1995: Inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame
