Bio

As a RedHawk

- 1961-1962: As a freshman at Martin, tallied 506 points for a 19.4 average, and helped lead the team to its first Dixie Conference Championship.

- 1962-1963: As a sophomore at Martin, scored 660 points for a 22.4 average in leading the team to a second straight Dixie Conference Championship; All-Dixie Conference Team, All NJCAA Region 7 Team, and team Most Valuable Player

After Graduation


 
 

- 1963-1965: Attended Bethel College in McKenzie, Tennessee; Played basketball and was All-Conference in 1964-1965 season; Top VSAC scoerer in 1965

- 1965-1967: Taught at Dupont Jr. High School in Jacksonville, Florida where he coached the boys basketball team to undefeated 26-0 record.

- 1967-1968: Attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and received his Masters Degree in Physical Education.

- 1968: Taught and coached at Waynesboro High School in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

- 1969-1974: Taught and coached at Martin Junior College; Assistant Coach for men's basketball and baseball; Coached the 1974 men's tennis team that went to the National Tournament.

- 1975: Started Sports World Sporting Goods Store in Pulaski, Tennessee, and has owned and operated the store since 1982.

- 1992: Inducted into the Retail Merchants Hall of Fame, Pulaski, Tennessee.
