As a RedHawk

- 1960-1962: Martin Methodist College basketball team; All Dixie Conference Team, 1960-1961 & 1961-1962; NJCAA All-Region Five Team, 1961-1962; Martin Co-Captain & Most Valuable Player, 1961-1962; Record 597 point, 23.8 points per game average, and
41 points in single game; Led team to Dixie Conference Championship

After Graduation

- 1959-1960: Tennessee All-State Basketball Team

- 1962-1964: Athens College basketball team; All-Alabama Collegiate Conference Teams, 1962-1964

- 1965-1974: Teacher and Basketball Coach, Ardmore High School in Ardmore, AL; Jaycees Outstanding Young Educator, 1966; Regional Coach of the Year, 1965, 1968, 1969, and 1973; Seven County Championships; One State Tournament Appearance

- 1970-1972: Coach Northwest Alabama State Junior College; NJCAA Basketball Coach of the Year, 1970-1971

- 1975-1980:  Baseball Coach, Athens State Junior College, AL; One Player went on to more than 10 years in the Major Leagues
