Bio

As a RedHawk

- 1960-62 : Attended Martin Methodist College; Duke of May Day, King of May Day, President of Student Body, Co-Captain of basketball team; 1962 Dixie Conference Champions.

After Graduation

- 1960: Graduated Murfreesboro Central (TN); Basketball team won 31 straight games, finishing 32-1, losing to state champion Hampton; named to Banner All-State Team.

- 1962-65: Attended Peabody College on Ford Foundation "Study-Teach" accelerated program, and received a B.S. and M.A.

- 1965-69: Named Head Basketball Coach at Martin Methodist College; 1966 won Dixie Conference Championship; Coaching record at Martin Methodist 61-37.

- 1969-70: Named Assistant Basketball Coach at Middle Tennessee State University

- 1970-72: Entered business as General Manager of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Pulaski.

- 1973-83: President of Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. of the South, in 1981 received PepsiCo. Chairman's Award "The Don Kendall Award" for the franchise bottler with the highest sales increase of Pepsi Cola in the U.S.

- 1983: President of TCI (Tel Control) Huntsville, (AL); Telecommunications Company specializing in public states, 500 communities, Canada, Mexico and the Pacific Rim.

- 1983: Founding Director of Citizens Independent Bank, Huntsville (AL), now First Commercial Bank.

- 1992: Member of the Martin Methodist College Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Athletic Committee.
